Contestant #5 - Directi

(UPDATE: Please take a look at the comments for a discussion of Directi’s involvement in .MN and .ME.)
Directi is the parent company of LogicBoxes (domain registrar/hosting system) and Skenzo (domain parking service), both very successful, full-featured domain name software platforms. Directi has been dabbling with registry services, with involvement in .MN and (soon) in .PW. Now they appear to be throwing their hat in the registry ring in a serious way. As a fast-growing company attracting significant attention and investment (as well as a cricket championship), Directi can sink a lot of resources into its registry systems if it’s so inclined.

Hi Antony - the information you have on Directi’s TLD under management section is incorrect. Directi does not provide registry services for .ME or .MN - these are both contracts that Afilias maintains.
Please see the full list of TLDs supported by Afilias at:

Thanks,

Hi Heather — just reporting what we were told. Also, it may not be entirely clear, but for .ME I believe Directi is saying that they played a registrar role.

This is to confirm what Heather has posted above. Kindly rectify the post. Directi is NOT a Registry provider for .ME and .MN. We simply provide a Registrar platform to them and not a Registry platform

Just to clarify further, we do indeed provide solutions to registries, and all of the of the registries mentioned in our responses, are indeed our clients, incl. me, coop, mn.
However, our solution isn’t a registry platform, or a replacement for the software that afilias provides.
Our solution is layered on top of the registry platform, and provides greater marketability and penetration of the tlds.
