Did you mean “Broadcast”?

February 3rd, 2006

After I posted about the disconnect between at+t’s advertising about blogging, and their actual “delivery” of it online, I decided to look a little further. Another variation on the theme….

I was hoping for “Podcast Delivered”…

But when I went to the at+t/sbc search page, I was disappointed again. At least their soundex algorithm is working…

… “Did you mean ‘Broadcast’ “?

Still waiting to find a photo of their “.com delivered” promotion. I saw one on the walk back from Veselka, but I’d left the trusty camera behind. The search for “.com” is only slightly less hilarious.

  2. This is hilarious - I thought your “Did you mean log” post was the funniest thing I’ve seen for a while, and now there’s more.

One of the problems with big companies/big websites: not everything is yet integrated properly.

  3. “…yet…” I love that! One of the most hopeful uses of the word I’ve ever seen.
