Did you mean “logging”?

January 27th, 2006

AT+T underdelivers, despite a $500 million campaign to reach 140 million unique users per month. (That’s half of everyone online). Be prepared to endure a very steady diet of ads in all media.

And they’re delivering blogs, they proclaim.

Blogging Delivered by AT&T

You’d think that $.5 BILLION would buy a little communication between the different body parts. But not so. On billboards they’re spending on buzz, but on the web itself, AT+T wonders if really I meant “logging”. God forbid they should actually use a blog! Or even know what it is. See below.

You can run your own amusing searches using the the AT+T search function.

  1. Great bit of research and perhaps forestry might be a better line of work for AT&T. At least they wont be slapped with any monopoly charges in the realm of blogging.

  2. As I expected—the original announcement about the brand was filled with the regular marketing fluff. ‘The revitalized mark symbolizes these attributes—innovation, integrity, quality, reliability and unsurpassed customer care,’ were the exact words. Basically: ‘We have no differentiation.’ And like all such statements, it has been implemented with all the aplomb of Howard Cunningham driving a DeSoto.
